We leave East Turkey for Van.

Still snow on the mountains...

Exoticism is finished now...we are almost in Europe.

And the prices are quite similar with Europe too...

1 litre Diesel at 3 TL, which is +- 1,5 euro a litre...

Van is a very developed industrial city...

Turkey's development is exponential !

We are far away from the Turkey we have seen with a backback 20 years ago...

We stay positif since the spectacle is still very nice ! 

Catherine has problem with the spring water from Turkey...

At least, now, we know what the problem is...

We visit the armenian church on the Akdamar island...

At this period of the year everything is full of flowers...great !

The view  from the island on the lake and the mountains is wonderful...

After the lake Van we take the directions of Mount Nemrut...Daniel was dreaming about it since a long time...
